Sol-gel glasses and ceramics
Cambridge, 12 September 2008
The workshop day is beginning to turn into a tradition at SGT Annual Meetings. At the 2008 SGT Annual Conference at Cambridge, the topic was Sol-Gel Glasses and Ceramics and their applications from engineering to medicine. The workshop was convened by Bob Newport of Kent, and the SGT invited two international sol-gel researchers, Anna Corrias of Cagliari and Jean-Marie Nedelec of Clermont-Ferrand, to present their work. Sol-gel materials also featured heavily in the main science session of the conference, demonstrating that the workshop topic is in fact very timely.
The speakers have kindly agreed to make their presentations available on an open access basis here on the SGT students' website. Please download any or all of the presentations below for personal use. If you wish to use any of the material in presentations or other work of your own, please seek the relevant author's permission first.
